Our mid-level course for users with reasonable GIS experience already

"QGIS for Geologists – Intermediate" will be our second course and most suitable for those who are already familiar with GIS. This training will equip you with the skillsets needed to confidently create, edit and manipulate spatial data with the most commonly-used tools available in QGIS.


 

Course Overview
BECOME A COMPETENT EDITOR

Become a competent editor of GIS data by learning how range of different tools in QGIS can be employed in order to facilitate your geological workflows.

This course uses a scenario whereby you are in charge of project and tasked with maintaining the GIS datasets that are used to plan and execute fieldwork programmes.

Requirements
❖ To watch the lessons, you need any device with internet.
❖ To use the data in QGIS, you need a computer, keyboard and mouse.
❖ All content is presented in English, but French / Spanish subtitles are available.

Geoscience Knowledge:
A moderate-level of knowledge is required, equitable to that of a final year university student / recent graduate

GIS & Spatial Data Skills:
A basic-level skillset is required; any GIS software experience (e.g. Arc) will suffice but QGIS would be most advantageous
